In continuation of presentations and interactions with industry experts at the ongoing Special Induction Course for Administrative Officers, today we are delighted to have a team from Sokoto State Bureau for Public Procurement headed by Its Director General, Abubakar Shehu Shagari. The Secretary/Legal Adviser of the Bureau, Barr. Kabiru Haliru is delivering a paper on ‘’Role and Responsibilities of Head’s of Administration Departments in Ensuring Compliance with the Public Procurement Procedures.’’

Bande M. Rikina, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Affairs gave a presentation on Executive Council Procedure at the Special Induction Course for Administrative Officers organised by the Sokoto State Government.

Following the successful presentation by Bande M. Rikina, the Office of the Head of Service is shifting gears to yet another important topic on Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation by another industry expert by the person of Buhari Umar, Director Monitoring and Evaluation, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning Sokoto.

The Head of Service Held a Consultative Meeting with the State Ministry of Health on Key Service Issues

On the 24th of September, 2020 the Head of Civil Service held a meeting with the Ministry of Health and its parastatals at conference hall of the cabinet office. The meeting is aimed at finding proper solutions for various issues affecting the State health workers. The stakeholders at the meeting discussed and reached agreement on some areas that hinders the effectiveness of health care services in the state which include;- Rural Posting of doctors – Provision of adequate Housing and social amenities to staff in the rural areas Other, areas discussed at the meeting are; migration of Ministry for local government staff to SSPHCDA, Contract appointment of Nurses and other health workers, additional recruitment of health workers to SSPHCDA, foreign trained doctors among others. The Meeting was attended by State Head of service, Alh. Muhammad Sani Garba Shuni, Commissioner of Health Sokoto, Dr. Muhammad Ali Inname, Permanent Secretary SMOH, Alh Abubakar Muhammad Mni, Directors from SMOH, SSPHCDA, Head of Parastatals from SMOH among others.
